Rugged and durable, the Clam Round Drafting Chair is great for home workshops, garages and engineering offices, where oils and liquids may be used.
Designed for PC1 and PC2 (PC = Physical Containment of micro-organisms) compliance, the Clam Round drafting chair features a tough skinned polyurethane seat-pan and backrest. The polyurethane is moulded over an internal steel frame, with an integral carry handle built into the back-rest. The quad fastened back-rest stem gives extra strength. Manufactured without adornment, and configured with sturdy components, the Clam Round drafting is a rugged, stain resistant chair, impermeable to water. With its high rise gas lift and foot-ring, the Clam Round Drafting is suitable for bench (typically 900 mm high) use. A popular choice in University labs, the Clam is also ideal for home workshops.
The adjustment mechanism has individual levers for seat height and back-rest tilt, and a knob adjustment for back-rest height. Fitted with a gas-lift dust cover – note that the gas lift cover mould shape may differ slightly from images shown. The heavy duty ‘tulip’ style foot-ring is separately height adjustable on the chair height gas stem and a 700mm black nylon star base for more stability.
Available in either black or blue, the Clam Round lab chair may be cleaned with warm soapy water or a mild ethanol based cleanser.
Supplied with either soft castors (additional cost) to reduce rolling on hard surfaces, hard castors for carpet floors, or glides for stability on level surfaces. Also available with a low gas lift without a foot-ring for conventional desk height use.
